I make absolutely no apologies for the person I will become when this show comes out. The book series was my absolute favorite growing up, and finally, it will have the book-to-TV adaptation that it deserves. I am actually going to Rick Riordan's book signing in Houston next week! This will be my first time meeting him and having a signed book from him. He was and continues to be my author hero and the #1 author that I look up to in terms of author-fan interaction. The new teaser trailer that dropped today is epic. It's just... correct. I can't even begin to describe my feelings. So excited!!!

There are about 14 hours left to preorder a signed copy of Ashes and Arrows, my upcoming Robin Hood retelling! This is the last time I will bugging you all about it for a bit, which I imagine is a good thing! As of now, I have reached about 52% of the total goal, but luckily with a combination of preorders on IndieGoGo and royalties from the last few months, we have officially hit the breakeven point! Therefore, Ashes and Arrows will be able to be produced. I am very excited about this story, and I cannot wait to share it with you in winter 2024. Classes are now well underway, and the history/museum side of my life has gotten a whole lot bigger. I am taking three classes this semester, and they have all been pretty solid so far. My favorite is Financial Management for the Arts. The professor is awesome and has a lot of experience as a CPA in the arts and culture sector. I had not taken financial coursework previously, and I feel like this is the course that will set me apart as a candidate for future jobs. I am also taking Intro to Museum and Gallery Management, which I will be learning more hands-on skills for various aspects of running a museum. Finally, my Applied Public History course has me gaining additional experience in cataloging and research by assisting a local Jewish museum with researching and writing about an object in their collection. My fellowship with the Sharing Stories from 1977 project on the National Women's Conference has restarted. I'm currently finishing up the first content edit for the delegates from Utah, which has been a fascinating group to work with. I am also spending four hours a week volunteering with the curatorial department at Holocaust Museum Houston, having been invited back by the curator after the work I did last spring during my internship. I am learning Past Perfect right now, which is the most used cataloging system for museums to date, and I had the opportunity to help arrange an exhibit case for a temporary exhibit that just opened!

In other book news, I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Chasing Fae Trilogy over the years. Want to hear something crazy? There are very close to 20,000 copies of Chasing Fae out in the world!!! That, I could not have possibly imagined. You all did that as much as I did.
